Registered Vehicle Importer – U.S. Department of Transportation – Mr. Holdeman was nominated and confirmed by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to serve as the Independent Corporate Monitor for a U.S. company that entered into a Consent Order (CO) based upon violations of U.S. import regulations. He assisted the company in implementing a compliance and training program to prevent future violations, and conducted quarterly site visits and vehicle audits to ensure compliance with the CO and U.S. importation regulations. In addition, he conducted quarterly meetings with the company and DOT to review his report findings and to provide process improvements for both the company and for DOT. In order to further assist DOT, he trained subsequent DOT Corporate Monitors to ensure efficiency and the sharing of best practices.
